Connect Arduino WiFi Shield to Arduino Hardware

The Arduino® WiFi Shield is an add-on board for Arduino hardware. It is based on HDG104 wireless LAN 802.11b/g System in-Package. The HD104 comes with a network stack that supports TCP and UDP connections.

Note

The Arduino WiFi Shield may require a firmware upgrade. For more information, see Upgrade the firmware for the Arduino WiFi shield.

  1. Place the WiFi Shield firmly on the Arduino hardware.

    The WiFi Shield stacked on the Arduino hardware is shown in the following figure.

  2. Connect the Arduino board to your computer using a USB cable for programming the Arduino.
