Intended for introductory courses on signal processing, this book provides a multimedia approach to analog signal processing. This book contains similar content and presentation style to the book it was derived from, DSP First, 2e. Topics covered include sinusoids, FIR and IIR filters, frequency response, LTI systems, and z-transforms.
MATLAB is introduced in an appendix, and used to solve numerous examples throughout the book. In addition, a set of MATLAB code files is available on a CD bound in the book, and supplemental MATLAB graphical user interfaces are available for download.
A set of signal processing labs that show how to synthesize music and then target a TI C6000 DSK is available to supplement this book. These labs require Simulink, DSP System Toolbox, Simulink Coder, and Embedded Coder.
