Be part of the extended development team for Embedded Targets where you will apply your embedded expertise to advance Model-Based Design and production code generation solutions for deployment of algorithms such as motor control, power conversion, audio and video processing on microcontrollers and DSPs. Leverage your advanced user's perspective to understand MathWorks' customers engineering challenges, to help them apply our products to solve their complex technical problems and use their feedback to improve our products.

  • Lead the resolution of escalated and advanced technical issues involving application deployment on hardware boards like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, C2000 & others
  • Influence product direction by contributing knowledge of customer applications in the Embedded domain
  • Directly influence new features by reviewing designs, participating in usability studies and/or modifying source code involving areas such as Motor Control and different hardware targets
  • Facilitate collaboration between customers and embedded development teams 
  • Create content for the MathWorks' community, including embedded application demonstrations and technical writing  
  • Mentor engineers in their technical and career growth 

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in embedded software development
  • Device driver programming experience (e.g., CAN, I2C, SPI, UART, PWM, A/D converters, video decoders/encoders, etc.)
  • Proficient in C and associated compilers, IDEs and debuggers


  • Experience in MATLAB & Simulink
