Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Engage with strategic customers to gain insight into their usecases and enable successful use of our products.
- Influence new product features by contributing customer insights into the development process, including requirements, design reviews, and usability studies.
- Collaborate closely with development teams, synthesizing customer needs into actionable product planning.
- Lead the resolution of complex technical issues involving Verification & Validation workflows.
- Leverage Generative AI as part of your engineering toolkit to:
- Accelerate root-cause analysis and debugging.
- Create MATLAB scripts, automation tools, or Simulink models to investigate and demonstrate product behaviour.
- Develop and apply agentic AI and workflow-oriented approaches to improve issue triage, technical investigations, and knowledge discovery.
- Create technical content for customers and the MathWorks community, including demos, examples, and technical articles.
- Contribute to a global community of experts by sharing best practices and helping shape engineering support and development workflows.
- Mentor fellow engineers in their technical growth.
Keys to your success will be:
- Deep expertise in Verification & Validation workflows and model-based design.
- Strong hands-on experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, Simulink Coverage, and Simulink Design Verifier.
- Passion for structured problem-solving in complex technical systems.
- Ability to identify emerging customer needs and translate them into product and process improvements.
- Curiosity and openness toward adopting Generative AI, AI-assisted engineering tools, and agentic workflows as part of everyday work.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional environments.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience using MathWorks products: MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, Simulink Coverage, and Simulink Design Verifier.
- Firsthand experience or awareness of the design challenges within the Aerospace or Automotive industries.
- Awareness of software implementation aspects, safety-critical applications, production-quality code, and certification processes & requirements (e.g: DO-178B).
