As a Government Defense Sales Account Manager focusing on the Indian Government & Defense segment, the qualified candidate will be responsible for building relationships with key accounts in the given territory ( Karnataka and Tamil Nadu )and will be based out of Bangalore. He would be selling the company's products and services to all existing Government & Defense Customers and prospects within his territory and will be responsible for generating and qualifying sales leads, determining customer needs, overcoming objections and closing sales. He will work closely with the resellers to grow the business in government segment. 

Responsibilities

Achievement of revenue targets; New Product Sales (NPS), Software Maintenance and Services (Training and Consulting).

Develop relationships within existing customers as well as growing new customers

Rigorously follow up and prioritize all qualified leads provided by marketing or sales support, energetically prospect for new business opportunities within the defined territory.

Work closely with local and international marketing and technical experts to bring the full range of The MathWorks product and service offerings to our customers.

Work closely with the resellers to build & grow the business in government segment

Develop and manage a funnel of activities

Accurately Forecast business and activities within the territory

Raise coverage and position of MathWorks within the territory

Document and report sales activities using an advanced CRM tool

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 10 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required.
  • Expertise with solution selling
  • Must hold a Technical Degree Program
  • Experience with government sales

Additional Qualifications

15+ years of effective selling experience with 8+ years of selling into Government & Defense accounts to Bangalore customers is required

Demonstrated experience to balance volume and strategic sales

Highly analytical but balanced with commercial selling ability and strong negotiation skills.

Should have experience in selling to Senior Executives and Department Heads

Candidates must be willing to travel 25% to 50% of the time

Self-motivated and goal driven, creative, high-energy and a strong team player.

Strong work ethics and organized, quick learner
