Join MathWorks' Education team as an advocate for student learning and engagement through our global Student Program, such as the Student Ambassador Program and Student Competition Program. In this role, you will lead the development of technical content, deliver ambassador training, and support local and global student competitions. You’ll collaborate with global teams across marketing, academic sales, and product development to expand the reach and effectiveness of MathWorks tools among students and educators.
Responsibilities
Student Ambassador Program – Content and Training Enablement
- Maintain and update packaged content for the Student Ambassador Program to reflect the latest product features and educational best practices.
- Develop new technical engineering content for ambassador-led and educator-focused events, working with MathWorks stakeholders.
- Design and integrate structured learning paths to support ambassador onboarding and skill development.
- Conduct training sessions and produce short video modules to help ambassadors effectively deliver workshops and events.
- Provide ongoing technical support to ambassadors, including mentoring as needed.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to strategize and execute impactful, large-scale events driven by ambassadors.
- Partner with the program manager to develop and evolve metrics to measure the overall success and impact of the program.
- Collaborate with internal teams to package and promote high-impact, reusable content across regions.
Technical Lead – Competitions
- Serve as the technical lead for competitions such as Robocon India, supporting student teams through workshops, content development, and hands-on guidance.
- Develop models, demos, and training materials tailored to competition use cases.
- Lead MathWorks-sponsored awards and initiatives at competitions to drive engagement and highlight technical excellence.
- Work closely with competition organizers and internal stakeholders to ensure strong visibility and adoption of MathWorks tools.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
- Proficiency with MATLAB
- Demonstrated experience in/with Simulink
- Familiar with modeling and simulation
Additional Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience working in teams across country boundaries.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience delivering training or educational content in-person and virtually.
- Experience participating in or mentoring student competitions (e.g., robotics, autonomous systems, or engineering challenges).
- This position is based in Bangalore with travel in India and internationally. Travel time can be expected to amount to approximately 25%.
