Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Workplace Services Manager for our Bangalore office to lead day‑to‑day workplace operations in alignment with MathWorks’ global standards and local practices. This is a fully on‑site role responsible for delivering a high‑quality, safe, and efficient workplace experience for employees and visitors.
The role involves close coordination with service partners and internal stakeholders to manage housekeeping, food services, physical security support, general maintenance, mailroom services, and space management activities. Working in partnership with the onsite Facilities Engineer, the Workplace Services Manager will help ensure the Bangalore workplace consistently reflects MathWorks’ culture and commitment to employee experience.

Responsibilities
- Managing workplace service vendors, including budgeting, contract administration, service delivery oversight, and procurement, in line with corporate and local requirements
- Acting as a point of contact for local stakeholders and MathWorks leaders, gathering feedback and driving continuous improvement in workplace services
- Overseeing the food services program, including cafeteria operations, pantry management, kitchen supplies, and on‑site catering for meetings and events
- Actively monitoring the helpdesk / ticketing system, prioritizing and coordinating work orders to ensure timely resolution
- Ensuring compliance with local health, safety, and statutory regulations, as well as MathWorks’ global EHS standards
- Managing housekeeping and cleaning services, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, local norms, and MathWorks worldwide expectations
- Coordinating space management activities, including onboarding of new employees, internal moves, and restacking, in partnership with the global space planning team and in accordance with standard procedures
- Supporting and/or leading small works and minor refurbishment projects, as required, in coordination with Facilities and approved vendors
- Leading mailroom and courier services, ensuring consistency with headquarters guidelines and local operational needs
- Supporting on‑site events, town halls, and employee engagement activities from a workplace services perspective
- Conducting routine workplace inspections to maintain office aesthetics, functionality, and service quality
- Being present in the office five days a week to ensure smooth daily operations and strong on‑site engagement
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree and 1 year of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required.
Additional Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Facilities Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in workplace services, hospitality operations, food & beverage management, or corporate facilities, preferably within a multinational or global organization
- Working knowledge of facility systems, including space management tools and service request / ticketing platforms
- Strong understanding of local Indian health, safety, and labor regulations relevant to corporate office environments
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a global corporate environment, balancing global standards with local execution
- Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of local languages is a plus
- Strong organizational skills, vendor management capability, and a customer‑service mindset
