This paper reports on the digital twin modeling of a commercial power amplifier in Simulink. Because building multiple hardware prototypes for different test conditions is costly and time-intensive, researchers increasingly rely on digital twins to enable high-fidelity simulation. To address the need for digital twin models, MathWorks collaborated with AFRL to explore the use of Simulink for modeling digital predistortion (DPD) algorithms. As part of this joint effort, we evaluated the DPD performance of a MACOM 25 W power amplifier and compared measured results with those obtained through Simulink simulation. The results showed close agreement between the testbench measurements and the digital twin simulations.
