I need to use a 32-bit version of MATLAB but when I try to download 2013b it automatically downloads the 64-bit version. I don't see anywhere on the mathworks site where you can choose to download the 32-bit rather than the 64-bit version.
Any ideas?
Thanks

What do you see when you click on https://www.mathworks.com/products/new_products/release2015b.html ? Is there a "Download release" button on the right hand side?

It the right corner next to Platform: there is a drop down menu. Windows 32-bit is an option there. I'm assuming that you are talking about windows. 32-bit is only available in Windows.

Is it possible to use with student license?

Historically, student licenses were not able to access the archives; I do not know if that has changed.
Note that there is no difference between the installation files for student licenses and other licenses, so if you were able to get the R2015b windows 32 installation files from your university, then you would be able to use them with any Student license R2015b or later. However, there have been a fair number of changes in the days since R2015b windows 32, so if you can I would recommend upgrading to windows 64 and a newer version.

There has never been a free version of MATLAB.
Many years ago, MATLAB 4 or so was included with a book; the release included is now over a decade old. And it wasn't free: you would have to purchase the book.
MATLAB has sometimes been given away as a contest prize.
Some universities have student site licenses; you would need to talk to the university IT department to arrange the download and license file.

There is no 32 bit version for R2017b. The last 32 bit version of MATLAB was R2015b.

The last 32-bit release of MATLAB was release R2015b. I haven't gone through the trial request process myself so I'm not certain you can request a trial of that old a release without contacting Customer Service.
