As long as an internet connection is detected, the Support Package Installer will attempt to have you authenticate your MathWorks account over the internet. If you have proxy server on your network, the Support Package Installer will attempt to inherit the proxy credentials from your MATLAB preferences and then from your operating system settings, in that order. If you are still unable to authenticate even after entering your proxy credentials in MATLAB, the authentication process can be circumvented:

The below steps must be performed on a machine outside of your authenticated proxy with the same MATLAB license installed as the target machine:
- Run the command "supportPackageInstaller" in MATLAB.
- Select Download from Internet.
- Choose your package and specify the download location and click next.
- Confirm the download and click the Download button to start the process.
Installation Instructions
- Download the .p file that is attached to this article. Place the file in your MATLAB working directory.
- Run enableSupportPkgInstallationWithProxy.p. It should return: 'Support package installation enabled with web proxies for this MATLAB session'
- Run the command "supportPackageInstaller" in MATLAB.
- Select Install from folder and specify the location where you downloaded you files. Click Next.
- Select your support package to install and click next.
- The Support Package Installer should no longer prompt you to authenticate with your MathWorks Account and you should be able to continue with the installation as normal.
