Simulink Project - Why does git not appear as a Source control option in Simulink 8.1 (R2013a)?

3 views (last 30 days)
I am trying to make a Simulink Project that has files tied to a git repository. However, "Git" does not appear as an option for "Source Control Integration," only the Built-In SVN, the Local Version Control, and the Command Line SVN Integration. From what I'm reading on the MathWorks sites (<http://www.mathworks.com/help/simulink/ug/set-up-git-source-control.html#bt523ey here>) there should be an option to select Git. I have followed the instructions to install git, although I am not sure I have edited and placed the gitattributes.txt file correctly (which could cause it to not appear).
Is the use of git supported with 2013a and Simulink 8.1? Are there any reasons why it would not be showing up as an option in my Simulink Project?
Thank you,
Bryan
