How to read Ms word file in matlab?

i want to read Ms word file in matlab..please someone help me out...Thanks..

If the Word file contains only text, you could try using the textread or textscan function. Also check http://www.mathworks.in/help/matlab/import_export/supported-file-formats.html
I don't believe .doc is supported though I read something about Excel spreadsheets in there...

Thanks for comments. My main aim is to read a pdf file but due to failure i will convert pdf file to word by software and then will read word file..but i realize that i must have to read pdf file.So if any one have tried on and have some code kindly share it with me..or just give me a clue that how it can be possible..Thanks one again............i really need it..

I assume you have Ms Word installed. If so
Start an ActiveX session with Word
wordX = actxserver('Word.Application');
and make an experiment
