How to change the position of the exponential in a colorbar

I'm using MATLA R2020a to generate an image with colorbar. I'm including the colorbar using the below code. But the exponential part is coming below the colorbar which I want to be at the top position.
contourf(X*10^6,Y*10^6,(S1),50,'edgecolor','none'), axis square; title('(S2)'); colorbar
How do I change that? Im including the figure here.

No, I need to assign maximum valuses for x and y axis as 1. If I do that exponential term will come.
