If you are getting this error when launching MATLAB

This error occurs when the license information cannot be read properly or has been corrupted. Therefore, new license information must be generated. 
You must be connected to the internet to generate new license information. 
  1. Confirm your connection status
  2. Confirm any antivirus software and/or firewalls are disabled
  3. Restart MATLAB
If still receive this message, then this is likely a connection related issue. See the link below to troubleshoot connection issues.
