Calculating thermodynamic properties of mixtures, for example R455A

8 views (last 30 days)
Hi,
I got different results between Matlab and refprop, for example:
- Matlab:
HsatL=refpropm('H','P',100,'Q',0,'R455A.mix)/1000; HsatV=136.5667 (kJ/kg)
HsatV=refpropm('H','100',P,'Q',1,'R455A.mix)/1000; HsatL=376.2112 (kJ/kg)
- Refprop:
HsatV (P=100, Q=0)=129.44 (kJ/kg)
HsatL (P=100, Q=1)=369.08 (kJ/kg)
Anyone knows why and how to solve it? By the way, I use version 9.1, and I have same results when I used pure substance.
Thanks

So you want to compare
HsatL=refpropm('H','P',100,'Q',0,'R455A.mix)/1000; HsatV=136.5667 (kJ/kg)
with
HsatL (P=100, Q=1)=369.08 (kJ/kg)
and
HsatV=refpropm('H','100',P,'Q',1,'R455A.mix)/1000; HsatL=376.2112 (kJ/kg)
with
HsatV (P=100, Q=0)=129.44 (kJ/kg)
?
But the Q-values are switched, aren't they ?

I solved the issue by changing the Refrence State in the Refprop ^_^

Hi, thank you. I have the same problem, I want to calculate the saturation curve of CO2-Toluene mixture. How can I change the Reference State in Refprop? Thank you
