MATLAB 2024a official support package can't install, online documentation not working?

80 views (last 30 days)
I am current using the windows desktop version of matlab R2024a and am experiencing the following problems:
1. can't log in to my account, even if I occasionally log in to my account successfully, it will automatically log out when I restart MATLAB again
2. cannot open online HELP documentation(after opening is the following blank page),occasionally the document is successfully displayed
3.any deep learning neural network weights (deeplearning support package) cannot be installed (no response when clicking "install" in Add-on Manager).
Or download the file ".mlpkginstall" through the system browser, and then double-click it in Matlab, but it always keeps displaying the following hang screen:
4. I can't change desktop language by preference settings and then I restarted MATLAB, but still can't change the desktop language(e.g. cannot switch to English).
The solutions I have tried are:
1. Clear the folder containing the predefined path returned by the "prefdir" function.
2. Clear all files in the "%TEMP%" path on the system.
3. Restart the computer and even reinstall MATLAB R2024a.
None of the above methods work, how can I solve these problems?

After contacting mathworks technical support, I have tried the following steps:
  1. Click on the following link to download the bootloader for your operating system and run it. https://www.mathworks.com/support/install/support-software-downloader.html?s_tid=srchtitle
  2. When prompted, enter your Mathworks account and password to log in.
  3. Select the support package you want to install and download it.
  4. Move the downloaded installation file to the computer where it will be installed.
  5. Open the downloaded package and a readme text file will appear under the R20xxx folder, which describes the installation process in detail:
Note: For Linux, run chmod +x SupportSoftwareDownloader_RXXXXx_glnxa64.bin; . /SupportSoftwareDownloader_RXXXXx_glnxa64.bin
Windows.
-------------------------------------------
a) Enter cmd in the second search box at the bottom left of the screen and enter the command line mode.
b) Go to the bin\win64 folder in the MATLAB installation directory.
Example: cd C:\MATLAB\R2020a\bin\win64
c) Run the command install_supportsoftware.exe -archives <path_to_download_folder> [-matlabroot DRIVE:\MATLAB_PATH].
Example:
. \install_supportsoftware.exe -archives C:\Users\xxxx\Downloads\MathWorks\SupportPackages\R2020a\ -matlabroot C:\MATLAB\R2020a\
-------------------------------------------
But it still doesn't work for R2024a,Firewalls and antivirus software have been turned off.
So the current approach is to use the stable R2023b, which has no problem supporting the installation of some plugins.

@Cris LaPierre Thanks for the heads up,another workaround is that I'm also using the linux version of the latest version of MATLAB R2024a, which is verified to pass in the WSL2 environment.
