How do I drive a motor backwards in simulink?

I am designing a convertible roof mechanism, after driving my mechanism from folded to fully deployed, I want it to collapse back to its original state. Is it possible for Simulink to do this automatically?

Yes! In Simulink you can model this type of logic using a state machine in Stateflow, or simple if/then logic using Simulink blocks or MATLAB code. The motor and mechanism can be modeled in many ways, including Simscape.
