Whether or not the Matlab is running

I know that when the Matlab command window shows:'>>', it means you can type and run immediately. And when the '>>' disappear, it means that the Matlab is running. So we can tell through the '>>' that whether or not the Matlab is busy. However, it comes that the '>>' is on the screen but the Matlab is actually busy just as the figure shows below. Does anyone what happens?

The figure does not show that it's busy. Why do you think it's still busy? And why is the iteration number 1 each time?
