Linear Interpolation and Cubic Spline Interpolation

3 views (last 30 days)
Well I'm stuck on this problem which says: Using the data Volume = 1:6 Pressure = [2494, 1247, 831, 623, 499, 416] and linear interpolation to create an expanded volume-pressure table with volume measurements every 0.2m^3. Plot the calculated values on the same graph with the measured data. Show the measured data with circles and no line and the calculated values with a solid line. Repeat using cubic spline interpolation. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!!!

My tip is to carefully read

The Pressure values are the measurements. If you are in doubt, you can try all (both) possibilities and look, what's comming out.

To tie things to the documentation a bit: "x" and "Y" are your Volume and Pressure data, respectively. "xi" are volume points (every 0.2 m^3) where you want to obtain interpolated pressure values (which will be the "yi" output).
