NIDAQ session-based analog output startBackground(s) 240ms lag until initialization

I have a NI USB-6...(BNC) device and i try to analog output a signal without any latencies. Regarding the call startBackground(s) i could measure a about 240ms lag until the actual signal is transmitted. I did this using another direct trigger signal, bypassing the NIDAQ pipeline, through a parallel port and measuring the difference of this trigger signal and the desired signal i try to transmit through the NIDAQ pipeline.
I initialized a DAQ session
added an analogOutputChannel
queued my data into the device buffer
then: startBackground(s)
How comes there is such a large latency?
I am not the first or only one with this problem: http://de.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/167075-startbackground-timing-ni-daq?s_tid=srchtitle
Thanks!
