What is the meaning of A{1}

I found a matlab code where i saw inside the code this :

A{1}

So when i ask to Matlab A i received this answer :

[1 * 10 double]

and when i asked to it A{1} Matlab answered me :

10 * 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

So what is A ? an array ?

A{1} is the content of the first cell in a cell array.

A is a cell array. A{1} is the content of that cell (in your example a numeric array).
