I am a student, and I have a student MATLAB version. Because I have a right to install the next two releases (namely 2016a and 2016b). I am wandering if I can activate all those releases using my single student license?
because later on if I activate 2016b release may be i'll not be satisfactory with it. and may be i'll have a tough time to return back to my first release

Yes, a MATLAB license can be used to activate that release or any prior release on the same system.
For example, at the moment I have 11 different MATLAB releases activated on my laptop.
(Note: license key formats have changed over the years, so if you go back far enough you might need assistance from Mathworks to get a proper file activation key.)

Yes, as long as it is on the same system. Those 11 different MATLAB releases I have activated are all on the same system, simultaneously activated.
There might be limits on the number of different releases you could have executing simultaneously; I would have to look a lot harder at the license terms to check that.
