When to use exclusive or and parallel states in stateflow

In stateflow..we have two types in decomposition Exclusive Or and Parallel. In what scenarios we can use those two?

Hi,

Exclusive OR: Used where the operating modes are mutually exclusive i.e., only one substate can be active at a time

Ex: Vehicle Gear Positions

Parallel: Used where the operating modes are concurrent i.e., All substates are active at the same time

Ex: Each diagnostic tests
