CUDA 8.x in MATLAB 2015b

Hello, is there a way to use the mentioned versions together (Linux/Debian-stable). The most up-to-date package in my distribution installed cuda 8.4 and I expect downgrading to 7.x will cause other problems /dependencies etc./. Thanks for suggestions. L.Ch.
