I'm fully aware of knnsearch and rangesearch (I've actually written codes for Ripley's K function and pair correlation function based on these functions). Though one would use knnsearch and rangesearch in implementing the code I'm looking for, nearest neighbor distribution and spherical contact distribution computation is more than their names suggests (I've hyperlinked them in my question for more details)
