Finding curvature of polygonal plot

Hello,
I am building a program based on Psychtoolbox in which a single dot moves.
This single dot will move based on the coordinates that I randomly made using sine function
Nframes = 300;
Dirtemp = 360 * sin(linspace(0,2*pi,Nframes*2));
speed = 5;
trials = 10

Here, the X and the Y are the coordinates that the dot moves based on which is a polygonal line.
And I want to caculate the curvature of this polygonal line.
So I used LineCurvature2D function.

And I've got k values between -1 and 1.
Here comes my question, I wonder do I have to multiply a constant to get a real curvature value, and how to I deal with the zeros.
