error: "Attempt to execute SCRIPT "normrnd" as a function:"

I have this eror when I run simple command
>> x = normrnd(0,1,500,1);
note: my laptop MAcOS execute this command well. I removed and installed fresh 2017b version. Set path all good.

Let's make sure you haven't created / downloaded a normrnd.m that's taking precedence over the version of that function in Statistics and Machine Learning Toolbox. What does this command display?
which -all normrnd
If it shows something that's not in a MathWorks toolbox, consider renaming or removing the non-MathWorks normrnd.m.
