How to plot number of frames of acoustic signal data vs RMS?

4 views (last 30 days)
Hello, I have 5 minutes recorded acoustic signal with 13,230,000 data points. I would like to divide the signal data into of 30 frames, each consisting of 441,000 data points (equivalent to 10 sec) and determine the root mean square (RMS) of each frame using MATLAB. Please, do I need a loop for this? Or is there some easier way to solve this?
Thanks in advance!
Kwaku.

s = rand(1,13230000) ;
x = reshape(s,30,[]) ;
N = size(x,2) ;
x_rms= sqrt(mean(x.^2,2)) ;;
