Embedding video player into a Figure

Hi there. I am relatively new to playing around with figures (handles?) and GUIs in MATLAB. I have recently come across the mmplayer file by Robert Walter. I find it to be very useful. I was just wondering how I can embed such a player into a figure?

For example... the upper part of the figure shows the player... where as the bottom part showing other information? (maybe a graph or a table)?

I am not asking for syntax on how to plot a graph or table... just wondering where I should start to display many things on a single GUI (with additional buttons...). Have been thinking of subplot...
