Genetic algorithm for the optimized placement of sensors on a 3d terrain

I have created a 3d terrain on the arcmap and now i want to find the optimal placement of sensors on that terrain using genetic algorithm.any idea which code can be used and how it can be integrated into python or matlab or viceversa.
