Falling Object Toy
A Software Toy regarding falling objects on Earth
Illustrates calculus and physics of falling bodies
Falling Object Toy is a MATLAB .mlapp that presents an animation
of an object falling 400 feet under nominal Earth gravity (32 m/sec^2).
G acceleration, velocity, and distance falling are displayed in graphs as
is a display of the falling object. All are displayed simultaneously with a
time slider in seconds during the animation.
Shaded areas under the acceleration and velocity curves illustrate integration.
Clock time accuracy is reasonable.
The slider can snapshot any given time. Animation, reset, and exit buttons are present.
The goal is to inform the user that all these things happen at the same time
in a fun and interesting manner.
Falling Object Toy is a Software Toy, because it's:
simple, illustrates an idea, has multiple parts that move together,
visual (and/or other senses), interactive, fun, and runs as software on a computer,.
Falling Object Toy is not for for commercial or industrial use.
