Genetic based solution to Economic Dispatch problem

An attempt is made to solve economic dispatch problem by genetic algorithm

Economic Dispatch problem(ED) with complex non smooth fuel cost functions cannot be solved by tradiional techniques like quadratic ,linear programing,Evolutionary optimimization algorithms comes in handy to deal with these types of optimization problems.Genetic algorithm was proposed J.H Holland and enhanced D.E Goldberg.Genetic Algorithm is front runner of all evolutionary algorithms.The operators of Ga like crossover and mutation makes the objective function to convergerve to optimal solution.Parameter tunning can be done to yeild a better result.
