The Black Widow Optimization Algorithm (BWO) is a nature-inspired metaheuristic optimization algorithm based on the mating behavior of black widow spiders. It was proposed by M. Mahdavi, M. Fesanghary, and E. Damangir in 2017. The algorithm is designed to solve optimization problems by mimicking the hunting and mating strategies of black widow spiders.
