The Gradient Pyramid Mechanism (GPM) is a metaheuristic optimization algorithm proposed by Wang et al. in 2015. It is inspired by the pyramid-like structure of ancient Egypt, where each level of the pyramid represents a different level of solution quality. The algorithm mimics the process of gradually refining solutions to converge towards the optimal solution
