Description
Mevea Simulation Software is for the real-time dynamics simulation of mechanical systems. Simulation models include the whole system: the machine, its environment, work process (such as excavation or container handling), sensors (both internal and those for environment perception), and integration with other hardware and software systems within the development environment. Mevea's unique real-time dynamic soil simulation has been validated for accuracy by several customers through real-life tests.
The Mevea Simulation Software solution for R&D contains modeling software for setting up the models, I/O tools for connecting simulations to external hardware or software using socket connections or standardized protocols (such as CAN or CANOpen), and a numerical solver for real-time model solutions. The modeling software can help export tool-coupling Functional Mockup Units (FMUs) for the entire system, including the environment and work processes. Mevea Simulation Software includes interface tools to import structural flexibility-related data for mechanism bodies.
Co-simulation with MATLAB® and Simulink® is performed via direct TCP/IP interface or Functional Mockup Interface (FMI), either in co-simulation or tool-coupling. For example, users can combine soil loads and deformable terrain in Mevea with a machine model in Simscape™, or combine Simscape powertrain and control system models with Mevea's mechanism, work process, and environment models. These flexible co-simulation approaches enable testing of the entire system, and engineers can validate both the physical system and the controller.
