IT Desktop and Webinar Support Specialist

Job Summary

The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support for company events, online webinars, and day-to-day IT support for staff via phone, email, and internal systems. This role includes diagnosing and resolving issues at user workstations and ensuring timely support for local and remote employees.

As a member of the International IT Support Team, the specialist will support the daily computing needs of MathWorks’ offices in India. This position is based in the Bangalore office.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver AV support for internal, customer-facing, and executive meetings
  • Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain AV equipment including  Polycom, Jabra, projectors, and Microsoft MTR devices
  • Monitor and maintain video conferencing platforms (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx, etc.)
  • Conduct routine AV system checks, preventive maintenance, alignment, calibration, and firmware/software updates
  • Provide support during live online events, manage recordings and playback services
  • Maintain video recording studio, edit recordings.
  • Log AV issues and coordinate with vendors for timely resolutions
  • Provide user-level support for IT Help Desk incidents related to hardware, software, network, and access issues
  • Troubleshoot and escalate issues, perform root cause analysis and performance tuning
  • Support asset management by tracking and maintaining inventory using internal systems
  • Offer training and support for desktop products and other end-user technologies
  • Collaborate with global IT teams  on pilots, deployments, and optimization projects
  • Liaise with external service providers for equipment servicing and emergency response
  • Participate in local and global IT initiatives and projects
  • Assist with proactive booking and coordination of meeting rooms, especially during repair periods

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 1 year of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • A college degree and 1+ year of professional work experience, or 3+ years’ work experience in Information Technology, including 1 year support experience with networked PC equipment
  • Experience with supporting Audio Video equipment in combination with MS Teams / Webex in a conferencing environment
  • Working knowledge of video editing and mixing tools
  • Working knowledge of audio devices and mixers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
  • In-depth knowledge of Desktop Operating systems, VDI desktops
  • In-depth knowledge of standard desktop software including Microsoft Office & Unified Communications products
  • In-depth knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware components
  • Audio Video and events support experience
