How do I solve a cable equation problem using MATLAB?

2 views (last 30 days)
For a semi-infinite cable sealed on one end, current is injected on the other end. I have to write a code to find the steady state potential on the other end. The length, resistance, diameter and capacitance have been given.

YOu need to use pdepe function: function to solve partial derivative equations. For a good example, go to http://www.mathworks.es/es/help/matlab/math/partial-differential-equations.html#brfhed9-1
There is a explanation of the functionality of the built-in function and how to use it. Besides, you will find a similar example to the one you need.
