In GUI, my TooltipString does not popup long enough when mouse hovers over it, how do you set this?

I am using GUI and creating a simple project to do mathematical stuff. I am adding comments and description through TooltipString for any uicontrol box. This way whenever a mouse hovers over that box, it will describe what is required for the input. I have counted 12 seconds and it isn't enough. Thanks!
