Exiting External Programs using MATLAB

Is there a specific command line that I could use to exit a program through the MATLAB command window? I'm trying to close Abaqus CAE using a MATLAB command. I think I could use the system('command') but even then i'm not sure as to what the 'command' would be that I should use. Any help would be much appreciated.
