i have read several papers regarding this.. but didnt find detailed description..pls help

If you want, you can try color segmentation. I have several demos for that in my File Exchange: http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/?term=authorid%3A31862 You might also need to combine that with some other things like texture segmentation depending on what the images look like.

Please attach your image. rar is not a standard Windows-readable image format. Anyway, did you try any of my suggestions?

Personally I won't look at it if you upload it again. Why not make it easy for us and just use the image icon above the edit box to attach a standard format image? I mean, why make it hard for us to help you? Joseph is kind enough to go the extra mile for you, but sorry, I'm not.

The reason for the compressed file is the image is over 10megs which i believe is the file size limit. As an example of what you are working with it doesn't need the whole image.

ZIP format archives are accepted by a lot more programs than rar.
