How can I generate trigger signal to a synchronizer using real time data from a potentiometer of oscillating airfoil?

I've a Data Acquisition system from NI. While I read the potentiometer readings from one DAQ, I would like to generate a trigger signal to a synchronizer which controls Camera and Laser for PIV.
