Dear all,
I heard that it is now possible to run windows such as windows server 2012 in Xeon Phi processor computer. If so then does it mean we will be able to run matlab in such computer? because matlab can run in Windows Server 2012.
Any idea will be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi,
the main question is if the Phi supports SSE2? If so, MATLAB should run on it. But it seems like Phi doesn't support SSE2 according to this article.

Intel recently post the following:
https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/using-intel-math-kernel-library-with-mathworks-matlab-on-intel-xeon-phi-coprocessor-system
It looks promising but I haven't yet tried it. Anyone done trials?

This should break stuff. Changing the MKL version from 11.05 to 11.1 will result in MATLAB crashes in some operations, e.g. polyffit. So that's not really an option. Maybe in R2014b the MKL version of MATLAB changes, so you might have a better chance to get that running smoothly.
