What amazes me most is that many times when people ask help for doing their homework, they don't even both to re-phase the question to hide the fact that it is a homework. Professors probably no longer hand out assignment on paper anymore, which makes it easy to copy and paste. No need to type.

I wanted to solve it, but the memory on my computer only allows it to be solved for P as high as 837.

@John: Upgrade to 64-bit Matlab and install more RAM. And P can be an UINT16, which saves a lot of memory, to be exact: about 40.
