I was able to section off my code, then I wasn't anymore, and now all my sections are broken

I'm writing a piece of code (duh) and I tried sectioning it off (using %%). At first it worked fine, but then I decided I wanted to put a section between to of my existing ones and it refused to do so. I could create a dead zone between the two sections, but no third section. I quit MatLab and restarted to see if it was a glitch, and now even the two sections I already had aren't working. Any ideas?

This is with R2014a, for what it's worth.

And suddenly it's working again for no apparent reason. Whatever, I'll take what I can get.
