Why the hdftool command and HDF import tool can not open the MYD04 MODIS (collection 006) files?

hdftool command and HDF Import Tool aren't able to open the hdf file from new collection (006) of MODIS data product, specially MYD04. how can I do it?

hdf file (MYD04) from previous collection (051) of MODIS is open by HDF Import Tool and hdftool command.

"New" and "previous" &nbsp Could it have something to do with the difference between HDF4 and HDF5? hdftool doesn't take HDF5
