in the help text a synchronous machine requires a parasitic load when the model is discrete. the example given is a machine at 60 hz and the rule of thumb for calculation is established for this, my system operates at 50 hz however, does anyone know if this makes a difference to the size of the parasitic load required?

For a given sample time, a lower frequency means the simulation steps cover a larger fraction of the electrical period, making the system numerically more stable. Therefore, for the same sample time, a lower frequency (50 Hz) allows you to use a smaller minimum resistive load than for a higher frequency (60 Hz).
