Hello everyone,
Firstly, a bit of background. I typically work on a Win7 machine with R2009b that operates files on a mapped network drive. Recently, I've commissioned a WinServer 2012 R2 with R2013b that work on the same files. However, R2013b is exceptionally slow compared to R2009b when it comes to browsing through the network folder structure. I've disabled auto-refresh and the inaccesible tooltip feature and yet, it is still very slow. I would appreciate your advice on resolving this issue.

What exactly is "browsing the network folder structure"?

Double clicking on items within the 'Current Folder'
I'd like to also add that if I have a file from the network drive open in the R2013b editor and then I close MATLAB, re-opening MATLAB causes a 3-4 minute wait while it shows 'Initializing' at the bottom left of the MATLAB window.
