Problem accessing datastore() in R2014b

I am trying to use datastore(), and MATLAB R2014b (8.4.0.150421, 64-bit under Windows 7 64-bit) does not seem to know what I am talking about.
I try: ">> help datastore" and it cannot find a 'datastore' entry. When I try any of the sample-code I can find for using datastore, it similarly fails ('Undefined function 'datastore' for input arguments of type 'char'').
Do I need a certain toolbox in order to access datastore?
Thanks, Alex

No, datastore is in base MATLAB. Likely a path issue as Aaditya has suggested.

Alex,
Is it possible that you changed the MATLAB path and can no longer see the datastore function?
Could you try the following:
>> restoredefaultpath;
>> rehash toolboxcache;
>> which datastore
