HOW TO SELECT AN A PART OF AN IMAGE FOR PARTIAL ENCRYPTION IN MATLAB

Hello sir, i am doing m.tech in 2nd year now i have started my project work in that i have to do partial image encryption using idea algorithm so that i found difficulty in selecting part of an image in matlab so please help me writing code regarding that please.
