How can I fix the DC current consumption of my model while increasing the step time?

Hi,
in the attached zip file is a simulation for an electric vehicle's tractive system.
The model works quite well, but the DC current seems to be incorrect. While accelerating, you would expect it to rise proportional to torque and engine speed. But here, it is constantly high and when I lower the load torque, it even increases.
Any idea why this is happening and how to fix it? Is it somehow possible to increase the sample time without messing up the results (the torque output becomes very fuzzy for bigger step times)?
Thank you in advance,
Max
